Adjust free neutral, brakes and floorboard question

Trying to adjust free neutral and the brakes, have a few questions, this is my first Model T, 1927 Touring, I believe I have home-made floorboard, and some of the adjustments are in relation to the floorboard.

Am I in neutral when I push the clutch pedal down and the 3 clutch fingers just become loose, will that change if the motor is running vs not running

I bought new floorboards, pedal and brake plate from Snyder's the floorboard is not the same as what I had, I'm going to assume Snyder's floorboards are correct
Should the pedal plates butt up to each other or overlap a bit, with the new floorboards they would need to overlap an 1/8”.

Looking at the floorboards installed if I have the top floorboard piece up as far as it will go and the bottom one as far back as it will go there is a gap in the floorboards, if I slide the 3 upper floorboards down, the top piece is not resting on the sheet metal lip.

I’ve read the emergency brake lever should go back until its an inch from the seat, mine hits the floorboard when its 3” away from seat.

Anyone have measurements of a floorboard, that would be helpful.

Great job on the floor boards! The attached article may help for getting a "free" neutral. One thing that the procedure doesn't mention is adjusting the length of the parking brake rods. If the rods are adjusted too short, they will keep the brake lever from moving fully forward, possibly preventing full engagement of the high gear clutch.

What position was the parking brake in before installing the floorboard.
