Re: shipping ?
I don’t know if shipping has changed as far as using a pallet of heavy stuff and expecting it will arrive OK and not banged up or barely hanging on to a pallet or crate.
It will come down to the two to three terminals and how they load freight when it arrives at the destination. Whoever you use you had better strap down securely and heavy items need to secured by blocks or bracketing besides the strapping.
It will probably arrive OK.
But I thought my 85 pound Fender amplifier would be I bought on EBay 20 years ago. When I opened up the “box” some bone head had dropped it on one corner and cracked the amplifier cabinet. Some where between the two terminals it had gone through it had been dropped. Took me me several weeks to get the insurance payment to cover the damage.
Just make sure your items will be packed good to hopefully avoid any insurance claims or hassles. In my situation the shipper used was UPS and it was the only time my item was damaged by them. All other times UPS shipped things for me OK.
