Rebult rear end with new thrust washers,
Drive shaft, bushing and u-joint. U-joint wouldn't go in the transmission. The new U-joint measured. 880, the Canadian u-joint measured 875. Anyone else have this problem?

Repop U-joint.
Measure the square hole in the output shaft.
It may be there isnt enough chamfer in the corner edges of the new unit. Seen this before. Reparable with some grinding.
Better yet, dont fight a repop part, get a good original.

There was a bad batch of uni's made some several years ago that do exactly what you describe, you may have old stock or let's hope that new ones aren't made with the same mistake.

Well, this last post proves that it will be at least a few more months before Cyberdyne finishes us all off...
