Here are some old clocks for cars, boats or an accessory for whatever I think
The center Waltham runs well and has a 8 day movement. It’s a very well made brass clock.
The other two are Westclocks that need work.
So were they accessory items for cars or whatever? I’ve seen the smaller Westclocks in old cars but not sure about the Waltham.

John, I have a twin to your Waltham. Mine has a small hole in the backing plate, through which a metal thread screw passed, and that had a cast wingnut to hold the clock in place.
If yours runs well, the most delightful thing about it may be the wonderful sound of the mechanism as it ticks away. Unfortunately, my hearing has deteriorated to the extent I can no longer enjoy this.

I have two antique Westclox auto clocks. One with a white face and one with a black face installed in my 1926 Coupe. They both run and keep great time even through the vibration of my T. The long stem allows it to be position higher, closer to the center of the dash making it easier to see and still enable the driver to wind it. Great clock! Jim Patrick

Great information!
The Waltham that I have wasn’t running when I got it out of the closet. I Hadn’t thought about those clocks in a good while.
I unscrewed the back and used a pencil to give the small spring loaded wheel a push and it started ticking. You have to put it to your ear to hear it. It’s ticking ok and I was surprised how good it ran.
I might polish mine like the one shown.
This one has a clamp on the back that’s has a wing nut holding it on.
Making a clock the way this one is made would be really expensive these days I’ll bet.
