Ohio Jamboree

Post by Tmooreheadf » Mon Sep 04, 2023 8:42 pm

The 2023 Ohio Jamboree Grove City is in the books. The sponsoring group did an outstanding job keeping us fed, entertained and safe, with stellar instructions throughout the three day tour. Grove City really shined and the Mayor expressed his appreciation for us coming to their city. Ben Nolting did an excellent job at the auction with a fewer than normal offerings being donated.
This is the best family reunion there is, disguised as a Model T tour. We get to see folks here every year that we don’t get to see at a lot of other tours.
Thanks to the Miller Stauffer clan for putting it all together. Brent and Meghan were stellar hosts!
Hopefully someone will step up next year to continue this annual Labor Day tradition.
Thanks til next year

This years OHIO JAMBOREE was again a terrific time as 100 cars invaded the Grove City area. Friendly people everywhere, wonderful weather and some well planned drives to some interesting stops. We saw many old friends, made some new friends and enjoyed driving our Ts for 3 days. KUDOS to the Miller Stuffer clan and The Tickin Ts club for putting this well planned event togeather! We had a great time and are looking forward to the All Ohio Model T Jamboree next year. Thanks, paul

Yes, it was a wonderful tour, attended by lots of wonderful folks. This was my 32nd O'Jam. For many on this year's tour, it was their first Ohio Jamboree. I, and my cousin George, have always been made to feel welcomed on the Ohio tour. I am sure that this year's first timers must have enjoyed the same sense of welcome. As I look back on the many folks who've attended in the past and are now no longer with us, and those who are still with us, but not driving their T's anymore, I recall many terrific people. Again, to the first timers, know that you are now among the ranks of those folks. Part of the Ohio Jamboree fraternity, as it were. :) Come back next year, where you will then be veterans of this great event and can welcome still more new participants.

Isn't it great, that in driving our T's, we are still fulfilling some of Henry Ford's original intent in building a car for the masses. That is, to bring the farmer to the city, and city dwellers to the country. To allow us to see our great country, as made possible by the Model T Ford.
