Re: Old Fords
Awesome pics as always Tom! Thanks. Nice '13 toward the top, again shows the correct top boot with the flap, I'm sure Original Smith will appreciate that as much as I do. 4th from bottom with all the gals and no windshield, gotta wonder the history behind that car, the twisted fender, seems so many Ts back then had R.F. fenders beat to crap. And like what the heck happened to the windshield, right?

Re: Old Fords
The first 12 photo: Is this very late? I know they moved the tubing inside toward the end, or maybe this one is missing?

Re: Old Fords
Larry "O" Smith, I also think very late 1912. Note no visible door handle on the rear door. The horn's twist is toward "in" rather than "out", would put the tubing inside the car.Original Smith wrote: ↑Thu Sep 28, 2023 10:56 amThe first 12 photo: Is this very late? Several really interesting automobiles (and people!). Tom R is tossing another wire wheeled coupe at me! Must be up to about thirty wire wheeled factory bodied pre1926s by now?
A 1909 roadster, a 1910 touring car, the late 1912 touring car, a 1913 touring car, a 1914 touring car, a couple 1915s, a 1916, a late 1917 (earlier horn button still with later windshield and top!), and the 1924 coupe with wire wheels makes for a great lineup!
The touring car without a windshield? Is that a 1912? Pretty sure it is. Knobs on the spark and throttle levers, I think I can see the angled floorboard division, along with billed front fenders. I think a slab side with rear door handle outside.
As always, thank you Tom R!

Re: Old Fords
I forgot to mention the model S! Horrible thing for me to do. I love the pre-Ts!

Re: Old Fords
I think the S everyone is referring to is actually a boat tail model R.

Re: Old Fords
You may be right? My initial reaction was "model S", however, the more I look at it, the less I am sure. With only a few obvious detail differences, often hidden in the angle of photos, they can be really tough to tell apart.

Re: Old Fords
The way I had the NRS difference was that the N has N o running boards
The R has R unning boards but no splash aprons and the S has S plash aprons.
