Post by JTT3 » Sat Sep 30, 2023 2:20 pm

Really nice pair of side lamps but I can’t find a brand on them.
Thanks in advance for your help.

John, could they be proprietary to a specific marque therefore not having a maker’s mark ? They look exactly like a pair I sold many years ago at Chickasha to a very excited man saying he’d been searching for years to hang them on his ‘20-something Cadillac. I even had a nail holding one rim on. But the lights I sold had bulbs with long and centered ‘tits’.

Well there is a nail in one of the hinges, wonder if these are them? Helping someone out trying to clear out stuff after a death. They are striking & well made. Maybe you need them back ha. Thanks George

1914 Overland used some about that size and shape. I can't be sure.

When did I do that?

Some lens have a manufacture's name on the edge of the lens. Have you looked?

Some pictures of a 1914 Overland's side lights. The shaped looked good : hinge, socket & bracket location. But the profile shot. shot shows a more elongated bucket. The mounting is also different. Still could be an Overland but different year

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.
