A visit to J&M Machine

Post by Mopar_man » Thu Oct 19, 2023 10:31 pm

I had bought an axel that had been fixed with inserts and rethreaded. I also bought NOS spindles but one of the king pins didn't seem to fit. I was going to visit family in MA and decided to bring up the axel and have them take a look at it. I don't have that much experience so I wanted to make sure that the "play" in the king pins was ok. Or did I have to put new bushings in the spindles. Turns out that the bushings were good and there was just a burr in one. John made short work of the burr with a reamer and tested the king pin. He test fit them and said they should be good to go. As always John was very helpful and helped a novice like me make sure that things would be safe.

I can't say enough great things about J&M. Not only do they do great work they are always answering questions helping out hobbyists.

Thanks John! Mike sorry we missed you.
