Steve Jelf visit

Post by Original Smith » Sat Jan 13, 2024 3:29 pm

This morning, I was pleased to welcome Steve Jelf to my home. Kim Dobbins picked him up in his 1924 aftermarket body truck. I showed them my cars, and we talked about a lot of stuff for about an hour. It's good to see Steve in his old stomping grounds where he grew up.

FAN-dang-TASTIC!
Looks like Steve has let his hair out a bit. Certainly wonderful to see him out and about a bit.

Thank you Kim D and Larry S for visiting with and helping our friend.

Steve wanted to get his goatee back when he was in Chicago.
Maybe Kim could take him to a barber shop.

Good going Kim and Larry! Good to see Steve progressing and walking! And jealous of that gorgeous weather out there. Woke up to 3 degrees this morning, wind blowing 25-30 MPH, brutally cold out.

Great news and looking Good. Someone asked me yesterday at our Long Beach club inspection tour is Steve was at the HME?
I did not see him there. So Larry if you know please let us know.

I'd also like to invite Steve to attend one of our local Model T club meetings. We'd love to see him and I'm sure he'd enjoy a real T club talking about T's?

Gene

If you pick him up and bring him home, I am sure he would come. He is in Lomita and that looks like a hike from Huntington Beach.

His brothers house is not large and I understand there are 2 Saint Bernards living there, so a break would be nice. At least Kim and
Larry are not much more than a mile away, so hopefully they can get him out for a ride now and then. I am sure a gift of some Kimche
would be most welcome, too.

That fellow in the check shirt looks to be in fine fettle, but, are you sure it is Steve Jelf? Where are the bibs he usually wears? :D :D
If it is you Steve, keep up the good work.

Dave, We have a couple of members that also live in Lomita so maybe something can be worked out? It is a few miles the wrong way for me. Larry and Kim have an invite as well.
