Re: Model T Touring horse trailer??
I guess by today the horse is gone and the kids very old or gone on too. But I feel sorry for that horse. Looks like it is tied in both in front and in back.

"at the height of the oil boom".
A bit more of the photo. Early '26 car. Note there is no headlight crossbar.

The caption is fun : "Down in Breckenridge, Texas the horses ride in Fords".
That's a young colt in the Ford. Possibly its mother under saddle behind. Perhaps the owner felt a journey to town would be too hard for the little one to trot alongside. Maybe the colt has been sold.

The photographer, Basil Clemons, spent his last years in an old sheepherders' wagon on the site of the poultry business in the picture. I remember seeing him outside of it when I was little. Clemons once had a photography studio in Washington State. Hundreds of his pictures of everyday people and things are kept at the UT Arlington, Tx. library and may be viewable online.

Hi Rich!
I saw the photo on a Facebook page. The rest of the photo didn’t show up like yours did. Here in Texas there are several sites that have old Texas ranch and history photos on it.
I guess the site didn’t get all of the photo in their Facebook page. It’s neat to see the rest the photo and glad you did! Lots of T history is out there.
