1912 commercial roadster top

Post by Wayne Mims » Thu Feb 08, 2024 4:01 pm

Looking for help from someone that has a 12 commercial roadster and has the top on it. I need to know the length of each bowl from either the top or the bottom of the bow to the top of the metal sock. All three of them really appreciate the help. Also, will enjoy the conversation

Wayne-

Here is some info that might be helpful.

Tech info from MTFCI magazine #150,p. 30, tech editor says for 1912 runabout the following:
Front bow is 9 1/2" top of socket to bottom of bow.
Center bow is 9" from top of socket to bottom of bow.
Rear bow is 7 1/2" from top of socket to bottom of bow.

If you find someone to do a top for you, let me know! My 12 Commercial Roadster needs one too.

distagon 2 thank you very much for the information I had the top socks made and I bought a top kit. I'm going to try to install it myself. I have to put one older 13 touring t car and a 1914 touring t car.

Here is scan factory layout of a '12 runabout top.

Scan size is all that is avail. If you have zoom on a pc, shows up fairly well.
