Ford sign

Post by fordrelic » Sat Mar 09, 2024 8:13 am

What do you think of my old Ford sign?

This is a hand painted double sided sign that was in a early Ford Dealership in Illinois.
It is about 4' x 7' made of fiberboard with wooden frame.

Henry is sleeping against a tree dreaming about building a automobile.
Both sides are very much alike other than the automobiles are different.

One side has some water spots.
Sorry the picture isn't better, its hanging in my barn.

Wow! I think it’s as cool as it gets! The dreamy clouds are really stylish, the squirrel checking him out is a hilarious, the hat tipped off just enough and the bike leaning just right are crucial, his spats and their buttons are excellent. The cars are accurate and the years floating there make it complete. Man that painting is great! I have to get around to doing a version of that, thanks for posting it! -Chris, in Boulder.
