1917 Model T Touring 360.00 Dealership

Post by ForestAcres » Mon Jun 10, 2024 1:02 pm

Found this on the internet today. Dealership was in Black Creek, WI. Perhaps it has been posted before, but I have never seen it. Great large sign on top of building promoting the New 1917 Ford Touring for 360.00

Its is a 2 story building. I know of a similar building in Atwater, MN that ws a Ford dealer at the same time as the one in the photo. The one in Atwater had a elevator in the rear so they could take a car or parts up to the second floor.

Great photo, David. The Runabout was $345 in 1917.
This 1923 ad shows the Touring for $295. A similar one for the Runabout was $265. I can't find it.

I remember telling an old timer at work about the Runabout selling for only $265 and he warned me. "Don't let them try to fool you. They never got that cheap." I recall how young and impressionable I must have looked in the '70s.

When did I do that?
