26-27 roadster top
Quick question: Should the top padding inside the cover over the irons extend all the way OVER the back top iron or just up to it? Seems like running it over the bow would make a couple lumpy spots that would make putting the welt over that seam even more difficult and less flat over that bow. And I may be answering my own question!

Re: 26-27 roadster top
If you bought a kit, follow the instructions. You need to get the straps all tightened and fitted first then install the cotton padding with the strap inside. Stitch up the padding. It goes on just far enough to have a flat surface to tack to. which would be the top of the bow which does slant back at the rear. There is a separate strap to adjust the height of the bow from the top of the body. The back panel of the top goes on the bow first then the actual top over it. Start in the center of the bow and of the back panel and top to center the top. The welt goes on last. The edge of the top is trimmed to fit under the welt. Have fun!
