Some time ago I read on the Forum about the location of the Pistonrings .
But I can't find it back .
I hope you can help me .

If you mean where the slits are when installing, they would be in 3rds. When the engine is running the rings do not remain stationary in the grooves so do not stay in the same position, they rotate in the grooves.
Or are you asking about which is the top/bottom the ring itself?
Some does not matter, some it does. Generally, on the compression rings if there is no bevel on one of the outside edges, it can go either way. If there is a bevel, that should be the top edge.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas! :shock:

Easy to remember, the ring gap goes with in line with the wrist pin then the next 180 with the pin and again another 180 for the oil, never have the gaps on the thrust sides of pistons.
