Fun way to start August!
Make Parker...a.k.a. "the other good looking Mike Parker"..(inside joke) of the Maumee Valley Model T club put together a great tour today out of the Sylvania area. 8 cars in the group, we went to Bigs Bar & Pub in Metamora OH for a good lunch. From there we traveled about 20 miles to a great one room schoolhouse just over rhe Michigan border near Tecumseh MI. Henry Ford "adopted" this schoolhouse amongst many others.
I'll post some pics I took as well as additional pics supplied by Kim & Terry Masserant from Maumee club. They extended an invitation to our club, Firelands Timeless T's to join in. Both clubs reciprocate as often as possible. It was warm out but very enjoyable. Schoolhouse-turned residence owner Rob Lucarelli was a great host and told of a lot of history of this house and Henry Ford. Enjoy the pics.

Looks like great fun with friends Tim. Last evening I took the Amish neighbor and his children and all the grandchildren for ice cream in the Big Green Truck. 20 in total. About 40 minutes each way. The local county patrol car followed us for about a mile. I thought sure he would stop me but he turned off and we had a great time. The reason I rebuilt that truck was for others to enjoy and they sure do. I love seeing your posts. Keep them coming.

Drinking Yuengling in a Schoolhouse. And the teacher lets you get away with that? Were they teaching Brewing and Winemaking?

It really was Dallas! Beautiful scenery, sure partly 'cause it was all new to us. But that's what it's all about. We need to start trailering our cars to different places. After all, why is that expensive trailer just sitting there for, right? LOLDallas Landers wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 1:42 pmLooks like great fun with friends Tim. Sounds like you're doing great with the Big Green Truck too! Good on ya for what you with those folks! No doubt it made their day. 40 miles back after ice cream though for me would require MORE ice cream when returning!!!
