Antique Farm Equipment Show, Klamath Falls Oregon
Every Labor Day weekend the Early Days Gas Engine & Tractor Association Chapter 21 (the Hildebrand Threshers) puts on a two day Hilbebrand Threshing Bee. It is held on a farm 20 miles east of Klamath Falls. Its a big show with folks coming from several states to display various bits of farm equipment from the past. There are usually two of the big steam traction engines and one of them powers an old wooden threshing machine to process grain on the spot. I take the '23 Runabout every year and participate in the tractor parade. I missed last year while in the hospital but understand that a Model T touring group from the Bend area participated. Everyone is welcomed so if you are in the area, it is worth your time to see it.

I spent two days at this event driving my '23 Runabout "Ole Rough & Ready" both days. It also participated in the tractor parade. Even in Ruckstell, the tractors are way slower! Here are some pictures showing the road into the Bee location and the threshing demonstration.

This is a very interesting home made tractor that started as a Dodge Bros. auto with some sort of worm drive rear end.
