My boss handed me a Mallory magneto out of a sprint car & said this is stuck do you think you can free it up! Good thing & had a clean pair of
coveralls in my locker!

A long time ago, walking around a swap meet and found a Bosch magneto for cheap. It was missing a bunch of parts, but had a complete and good looking impulse on it, so I bought it. As I continued walking around the swap meet, carrying the magneto in my left arm, I was absentmindedly flipping over the impulse with my right hand.
You guessed it! Got my left hand fingers in the wrong place and that sucker was HOT!

When it comes to Magneto don't be impulsive! :) The shock from the ordeal isn't half as bad as when the magneto falls out of your hands and breaks your foot!!! :(

Jay, the real treasure is that Tee Shirt with Rich Eagle’s wonderful cartoon on it. We haven’t heard from him in a while. Please tell us, how did you come by it ??

The T Shirt was gift from Richard Eagle some years ago. I wear it at times when I docent my T at a car show.

Back in the day when distributors were still being used, the senior mechanics had a special trick they used on the newbie guys in the shop.

The uniform of the day was the old style coveralls. They older guys would take condensers and charge them then drop one in each side pocket. When the newbies would put on their coveralls in the morning they would shove both hands into the side pockets to get then all stretched out. They got a double shock both the left and right pockets. It was quite a shock Zap Zap!!!! and a big laugh for the older guys.

just sayin,

Great shirt, sad to hear of Rich's passing,( viewtopic.php?t=44811 ) Wouldn't it be a great idea to have that shirt printed and made available to forum and MTFCA in memory of Rich ?
I'd order one in a sec !

Leo, that is a fine idea. I hope it may become a reality. It would require Joy’s permissions and approval, perhaps she might be approached when it’s appropriate.

I would love to see any of his paintings/sketches printed on Tee shirts! Would make a great collector series
