Registration Forms for the 47th Texas T Party

Post by bill_severn » Mon Jun 10, 2024 6:39 pm

Come one, come all,
The 4 day Texas T Party tour this year is in Kerrville, Texas. The dates are October 16 thru October 19. Located Northwest of San Antonio, Kerrville is located in the beautiful Texas 'Hill Country.' Our daily routes will generally be less than 100 miles and won't have many hills. However, a Ruckstell or Auxiliary transmission with accessory brakes are good options. Hotel information and registration forms are attached. There are two registration forms, if you can't get one to work, use the other. Any questions email me at wcsevern@earthlink.net and I'll get everything to you.

Regards,
Bill Severn

If it weren't for the 21 hour/2 nite trip to even get there I'd join in. Too much driving and just too much $$.

Thanks for the reminder Bill. Had my hotel reservations for 2 months. Sent you my tour application. This will be a large in Model T numbers tour with excellent sparsely traveled roads.

I'm surprised no one has posted pictures during or after the tour. I usually enjoy seeing other people's pictures. Maybe I can start a trend by posting a few pictures myself.
I enjoyed the tour, the roads were great and the weather cooperated. Many thanks to everyone who made it happen.

I'm traditionally an Early V8 person, but T people and T tours are too much fun to miss out on.

No, this isn’t a County job with 4 supervisors and one worker. A Tiger timer has a wallered out roller and needed replacement on the 2nd day of the T Party

And thanks for the great pics Fred! I sure wish I could make one of those, but I just don't see how. Too far away, hotel bills will kill me for one thing.

I understand about distance and hotel bills, everything is more expensive now. On the topic of planning and commitment, we had two overseas couples at this year's Texas T Party, one from Ireland and one from Australia. I was lucky enough to drive the Aussie couple from the San Antonio airport to Kerrville and back again after the tour. It's not everyday you get to show off your home state to people from another hemisphere!

In an attempt to get more people to post pictures I will ad a few more of my own. Anyone who attended and has pictures, please add them!

Thanks for the pics Fred! That camel was cool!

Maybe someday I'll just bight the bullet and just GO!! Only live once!

And that was nice of you as well as cool taking the Aussies to the airport. Who were they? Maybe one of the regular posters here? I'm sure they enjoyed everything as well as your being so accommodating. Good on ya!

Tim, I was honored to enjoy the Saturday night banquet table with Warwick Landy and wife from the continent ‘down under’. Also enjoyed visiting with Paul and Sandra Murphy from Limerick, Ireland..,

It truly was a wonderful Tour to be part of. The Texan hospitality was incredible. We felt so welcome and spoiled for the entire Tour. A big thanks to Fred for picking us at the San Antonio airport and transporting us to the Tour and getting us back to the airport after the tour concluded.
Truly indebted to the generosity of the Luke and Jeff Cordez for transporting a "loaner" 1925 Roadster to the Tour for Paula and myself to use for the Tour. So much fun to have a T of our own to tour in and get around town when we needed.
Wonderful to catch up with old friends Bill and Pat Sherrill and to finally meet in person, Kathy Tagert and her husband Dave.
Kerrville was a great venue to host a tour and the Tour hosts did a truly awesome job of selecting all the quite hill country back roads to tour on.
Well done to Bill Severn and his family and friends for being wonderful hosts. It truly was a tour to remember.
Maybe I will get the opportunity to return some of the hospitality extended to us if you join us down under in 2025 for our National Tour.

I guess it’s never too early to report the announcement of the location of next years 48th annual Texas T party……
It’ll be in Marshall TX. That’s awful close to the Louisiana and Arkansas border. So we hope to gather up some Fords from there ;) … Donnie ?

Here is a link to an excellent youtube video of the event produced by Tour entrant, Anthony Marino.
It was a pleasure to meet you Tony and glad you took the effort to make a nice video of the event which is a nice memory for us.
