There were questions recently about outside oil lines.
Personally, I use two. One from the transmission cover, and one from the magneto port. ( And a large funnel inside).
Pictured is the authentic part for the magneto oil line. The ones sold by vendors are the 26-27 style with an adapter.
Notice this one has a deflector scoop to guide the oil in.

Just sharing a very hard to find gizmo. (It is the only one I ever found).

That's a nice one in brass.

Have found several on old engines, IMO, the Mag Pickup oilers do the job well. Texas T Parts webpage has a comparison they did on the High Volume Hogshead line and the Mag Pickup, running the engine at fast idle of 500 rpms.

Their High Volume put out a quart every 14 seconds or approx. 16 oz. in 7 seconds

The Mag Pickup, that some disregard, tested in their comparison, put out a quart in 3 1/2 minutes or approx. 16 oz. in 1 3/4 minutes.

Interesting is Ford did its testing of the internal oil line, large funnel, and found at same 500 rpms the internal line put out 16 oz. in 2 1/2 minutes. And at 1000 rpms, that Ford internal oil line puts out 16 oz. in 1 1/2 minutes.

So, the Mag Pick up is better, at road speed, than the Ford internal oil line and returns a goodly amount of oil to the front bearing.

The High Volume Hogshead line places a ton more oil up front and may contribute to fouling # 1 spark plug.

Thank you Dan. The one in your picture is outside thread, as this one is internal, so there are at least two variations.
Always something new( to me).
