VIDEO: Coil & Timer Replacement in Real Time
Following up on my earlier unboxing video, I decided to replace the plastic reproduction coils with period-correct wooden replicas, allowing me to keep the plastic ones as spares - just in case!! While I had the hood open, I also replaced the timer cover and roller, as I'd neglected to lubricate the old one, and wore it out in record time! I have attempted to keep this video (mostly) real time, please enjoy and remember to subscribe!

These came from Snyders Antique Auto Parts, as did the new timer cover and roller.

Re: VIDEO: Coil & Timer Replacement in Real Time
Every time the commutator is replaced, with new no matter of manufacture, initial timing has to be checked.... And either the timing rod has to be lengthened or shortened. Did you reset the initial timing?
