i had the pleasure of seeing folks I haven't seen in a coon's age, but no pictures. Nothing jumped up and yelled, "Buy me!" So I came home empty-handed. All the spark plugs I saw had the wrong threads. :)

The drive home reminded me why I shouldn't drive at night anymore. I've been over most of the route dozens of times, but I still managed to make a couple of short detours.
The inevitable often happens.

Here’s the only picture I’ve taken so far. The infamous Gene French is in my swap space on the left and the more infamous John Steel on the right. Been a great meet for me but inside prewar folks greatly separated from outside prewar folks. I’ll be back !

Saw several dozen or so people that attended Chickasha in the past. It was good to see more vendors and customers arriving late than leaving early. Enjoyed it very much.
This is a 28 Chevy which was almost identical to my Dad's first car. My grandpa paid $15 for it in 1940.

Thursday people began buying & getting use to the new layout at Duncan swap. Most folks did well on Thursday as deals were being made. Friday was busier yet. So much so for our group that I really didn’t have time to take pictures.
I think so far that it’s going well for the first outing. Hopefully we will be able to work some logistics out that will enhance the Prewar section of the meet by seeing if we can get the outside covered Vendors closer to the inside buildings. I’m looking forward to Saturday and seeing the even more traffic plus more vendors coming in. There was a significant number of folks still arriving though not all were prewar folks. I do know several folks that were going to be vendors canceled at the last moment & if there is another pre war meet in Duncan they will attend and boost the numbers. Once again for our group we had a very good day as far as business. I’ll post again Saturday evening.
Best John

Looks really good!
I don't know why I should ask? But does anyone know what someone wanted for the 1927/8 Whippet roadster? My dad had one when he was going to college, and commuted between Elko and Reno Nevada in it postWW2. I have always wanted to have one, but cannot buy anything right now. Thirty years I searched for one, never found even one. The recent past five years I have seen four of them now. This one looks much nicer than any of the other three.

The Whippet is owned by a gentleman named Charlie Glick. He is asking $12,000 for it. It has had considerable mechanical work done on it.
Charlie is a friend of mine and the car if not sold, lives in Paris Illinois. I don’t know its value, but with the list of what has been done to it, you would be buying the car for less than what he has in labor and parts invested in it.
