1925 or 1926 Roadster?

I just bought my first Model T and need help identifying the year.
It is titled as a 1926 and the number on the engine is from 1926. (140?????)
However, someone with more experience than myself tells me everything else is 1925.
I this point I'm not sure what differences to look for between a 1925 and 1926.

Some of the “improved car” features began in ‘25, but are limited to minor drive train changes. This car is definitely ‘23 - ‘25

Appears to be a '25, looking at the door hinge - would need more photos to verify - the interior firewall uprights - should be steel - not wood, a 2 rivet patent plate - not a 4 rivet, the door straps had a steel clasp and both front & rear fenders had a slight outward profile at the running board connection.

A 1926 engine would be a replacement.

Dating a T calls for more than a couple of general views. At least one more photo should provide a good view of the firewall..

Good post. I own a very late 1925, and as mentioned some of the 1926 features appeared. mainly the carburetor adjusting rod, & dashboard with the swivel type adjustment for the carburetor. They also started using the 8 leaf front spring which lowered the front end one inch with one additional leaf.
21" wheels became available, and natural spokes too.

The lower edge of the bottom half of the windshield on the '26 and '27 open cars is curved to fit the new style cowl. This shows clearly in the pictures above.
