two piecce timers

Post by ModelT46 » Sat May 17, 2025 2:32 pm

picture number one illustrates that the two studs hoilding the cover are alined with the control knob. This is the way all seem to be. picture number two is the timer I bought last month. the two studs holding the cover are off set from the knob by 90 degrees. Has anyone seen or have a two piece timer that is like number two?

The embossed lettering in the 2nd photo is much less crisp, possibly a reproduction…? Some of these reproduction parts are older today, than the T’s were when the reproduction parts were made. Getting hard to tell the difference in some cases

And, they centered "Ford" over the timing rod eye & the oiler cover is on the other side of the eye also !

The races are held to the case by four screws, two of which extend to told the cover on. By changing the position of the long screws you have the correct orientation.
