Can someone tell me thickness of the wood blocks between the running board brackets and boards on my 1926 T?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Wooden Spacers for 1926 running boards
Mike, I know the blocks are available from the vendors for cheap:

But I made mine custom to fit whatever condition our T was in, sagging and straightened brackets. The measurement I have probably won't help you.

According to previous posts the blocks should be 3/4" x 1 1/2"

http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/29 ... 1170435525
Measuring my early 1926 Touring they are 3/4" x 1 3/8" x about 9".
These are factory original 99 year old running board blocks
Make them fit inside the running board for the exact length.

I made these from a scrap piece of plastic deck board, thinking they would absorb less water/moisture and contribute less to rust on underside of running boards. FWIW, jb

Re: Wooden Spacers for 1926 running boards
Thanks everyone. After I posted my question, I found an original block. I figured there was some shrinkage and came to the conclusion that 3/4" was the right thickness. I looked around for an Oak scrap and didn't find one so I made some temporary spacers from pine. I also thought about some sort of length-wise reinforcement from front to back but decided it might become a moisture trap. Thanks again.
