I think she is hot because off camera, to the right, there appears to be a campfire.
Have not decided whether "Florence" is the name of the T or the photographer.
If they got some more of those ferries, they wouldn't have to keep moving them, except for passing boat.
Last photo, vehicle is background has 10 spoke wheel.

Photo #6: three men in the ‘10 or ‘11 touring— A hood with louvers ? and the most unusual front axle shock absorbers. Anybody seen these before ?
