APCO Radius Rod Accessory

Post by RustyFords » Wed Jul 24, 2019 10:24 am

My parts chassis came with this APCO radius rod thingamabob. I'm assuming it's a vintage one because the chassis was last a real car that was being used sometime back in the late 50's or early 60's.

It was really crusty and seized up but I managed to free up all the bits after soaking it for a few weeks in penetrating oil. After that, it cleaned up nicely. It appears to be missing the little cup that goes between the spring and the radius rod ball.

Also...a question: The spring seems to be really small compared to the inner diameter of the main body. Is that correct?

If anyone has a spare cup laying around, I'd love to "press" it into service (pun intended). ;)

Spring is correct. Little cup is available from most T vendors. Mailing will cost more than the cup. Wait until you have large order.

Thanks George. I couldn’t find the little cup on Lang’s site....I’ll take another look.

The above is for the tie rod - here's the link for the radius rod cup - https://www.modeltford.com/item/2736APCC.aspx
