Model T in Costa Rica
While on a ten day trip to this lovely country I did manage to locate a Model T Ford. I did not get to see the car or meet the owner but I was given these pictures and some info by his next door neighbor, who was our tour bus driver. The owner claims this to be the only Model T Ford in Costa Rica. I find that interesting but have no way to validate that claim. Would anyone perhaps have knowledge of another?

I went previously in Costa Rica, and they have crazy drivers there and houses have no address at all... Road are narrow, and they drive fast, I can’t imagine driving a T there without stress… or having hearth attack!

Here is a link showing many antique cars in Costa Rica. They have an antique car club. One of the people who has many old cars including several Model T's is Gaspar Ortuno. He lives in San Rafael Arriba de Desamparados. I've been to his house a couple times and seen his collection but it has been many many years.

I'm not surprised the owner would be unaware of other Model T's. I expect there are people who have them but drive them seldom or never, just like here.
The inevitable often happens.

Thank You Mike for posting that list. I could not imagine the owner of the T pictured had the only one which is why I posted. I have fwd. the list to two young Costa Rican friends who are very interested in the Model T’s. Perhaps they can meet others in the hobby and expand their interests.
