An astute observer noticed the roof rail and header were upside down. Here’s an updated drawing.

I make them all the time. Here is a running board screw I had to drill to remove. :-)

I like it, It looks like you were successful.
24-28 TA race car, 26 Canadian touring, 25 Roadster pickup, 14 Roadster, and 11AB Maxwell runabout
Keep it simple and keep a good junk pile if you want to invent something :P
