Before Hershey I had an issue with my starter bendix as it exploded and made a mess. I had to pull the engine and clean out all the debris and I removed the magneto in the process. I replaced it with slingers and since then I have a pretty significant leak coming from this hole. Thoughts?

If the oil pours out of the top petcock you have to much oil in it and it will leak there more often than when it trickles out of the petcock. Just my thoughts.

The shaft bushing is worn and needs replacement. The vendors sell a bushing kit that includes an oil seal that is pressed into the nose cone that stops oil leaks well.

This is a common problem with worn Model T starters and one of the "built in" oil leaks on Model T engine.
The Model T generator has a similar issue.
The hole letting the excess oil drip out the bottom of the starter case was Ford's solution.
The solution is rebuilding the starter (new bushing) and adding an oil seal in the starter mounting bracket bushing, BUT by removing the magneto and adding slingers to the flywheel it has been my experience that oil can still be forced past the oil seal because of the significantly increased oil pressure.
I have found that by adding two oil seals will help overcome this issue.
