changing bands

Post by Richard G » Mon Jun 29, 2020 10:24 am

when changing bands from the non detachable link to the detachable type, seems i heard or read you need to trim the low--high-- shaft by so much, i have the hogs head off and getting ready to install the bands, just to be safe something told me to ask. before i get in trouble, this is on a 1925 engine . thank you for your help. Richard. who said you cant teach a old dog new tricks,I''m 82 and having fun with this old ford.

Richard

your last comment made me smile. Rather than go through a discussion as to what you need to do, I'll post this for you where Dan Treace did a good job documenting the process. Good luck and report back!
