What make crankshaft is this?

Post by civinwt » Fri Jan 03, 2020 11:51 pm

I bought this engine several years ago, and I have yet to identify this crankshaft. The first picture shows the name "WOHLERT" forged into it. Mains and rods are the same size as Model A crank. It does not visually resemble a Model A crank.Does anyone have any clues as to manufacture? Thank you in advance for your help.

I believe that Wohlert was out of Lansing, Michigan. They were an aftermarket parts supplier, gears, pump rebuild kits (water and oil), steering and suspension parts, forgings, lots of forgings. I remember buying Wohlert steering sectors back in the 50's. I have a N.O.R.S. 7 tooth steering sector for my Model A that was made by Wohlert, another project waiting to be done.
