SOLD 1915 - 1916 T Touring VERY SOLID ORIGINAL

SOLD - Out of room and time to move a few old cars. I've got a 15-16 Model T Touring. I call it "15-16" as the title says 1915 however the engine casting date would put it built in 1915 but possibly classified as a 16 model. I've heard and read too many of the forum banters regarding "what year your car is". The title says 15. You can call it that or a 16, makes no difference to me.

Now that I've got that discussion out of the way, lets talk about the old T I have for sale.

This car currently has a '26 engine installed. However, it comes with a complete engine built in the fall of 1915. I drove the car with the 26 engine and it was one of the smoothest running T engines I've driven. So, if I had ever gotten around to do a full resto on the car, I would have put the 15 engine in. But for playing and tinkering the 26 seemed to be a dandy. The 26 has a distributor (one of the original T conversions) and that may have helped make the engine smoother than many I've played with.

I guarantee you that you could look far and wide and not be able to fine a more solid body than the one on this car. NO RUST OUT ANYWHERE. Really no rust anywhere. Just the old black paint its had on it for 110 years. Doors shut very solid, wood appears very good in the body. The only part of the body that has been abused is the rear fenders. Going with the car is 2 NOS 1915 rear fenders. These are not repo fenders but are original Henry Ford steel that came from an old dealership many, many years ago. In fact the entire body is original Ford steel.

Original window frame is on the car. The coil box in the car is incorrect but a correct coil box goes with it. Correct top irons go with the car as well. As far as I know, this car come with 100% of the items (original items) needed to put it back to an original T as built by Ford.

Wood in wheels is solid. Tires will hold air but are shot. Hood is an original 15 but has been primered.

This is one of these cars that you could spend a few weeks on it and have a nice old original driving Model T. Or, if you want to have the fun of doing a Model T restoration, everything is there to start with. My price is firm at $5850. For that you're getting the T, 2 engines, 2 sets of rear fenders (one set NOS FORD fenders), a complete vehicle, rust free, original condition (barn fresh is the new term used). Already had a question sent me inquiring about the rods running from the firewall to the front fenders. These were evidently some sort of stabilizer rods that a previous owner put on (it looks like many, many years ago). These were very neatly done. If the car got a full restoration I’d pull them off. If just a fun driver I was going to leave them on. The 5/16 holes could be easily filled if someone didn’t want them on there.
