Authentic 1913 Ford Model T light delivery

Post by YellowTRacer » Tue Aug 06, 2024 6:29 pm

Sooner or later some ones going to wake up to what a deal this is. The 30X3 1/2 wire wheels are worth a bundle by themselves. An original authentic 1913 Ford Model T light delivery, not a repo body, but original. Very authentic with what appears to be a brush painted 1940s/50s repaint and some tacked on black vinyl upholstery "fix up". Chassis is 1913 throughout except for the front spring. Body is original, from the era. Headlights are missing. hood is there laying in the bed. It has a few era accessories including Bosch magneto ignition, shock absorbers, double front wishbone support, running board tool box and running board mount spare tire brackets, 5 original early style 30 X 3 ½ wire wheels. The engine cranks over but has not run in decades. A real neat piece of history just out of the barn. More pictures available on request. $7,500.00

Obviously I'm overpriced on this original piece, at least in the Model T world. Has our hobby gotten so screwed up that know one appreciates cars with real history any more, and would rather have something with a repro body and 26/27 engine, that's cute, and maybe costs less money. Too bad.

Ed - Hate to see you get down on this. I don’t speak for anyone but me, but I think it’s a great T and I’d love to own it, if I weren’t on the total other side of the States. Hopefully someone scoops this one up soon…at that price I think they’re getting a killer deal.

I sincerely hope you sell this T and get what you are asking for.

This T requires a lot of work.
The right buyer will come along, but I for one, am not in the market for another major project

I think at times sellers take it personally when a vehicle doesn't sell instantly once it hits the classifieds. If time and money were no object, I would own ten Ts.

Just hang in there! It will sell.
