I'm posting this for a friend and neighbor - the car belonged to his father, who was also a friend. The father died about six years ago and the car has sat since then. It was used for parades and an occasional trip to the ice cream store, not touring. The body appears solid and in good condition, albeit very dusty from sitting in a polebarn. It looks to have a new headliner and possibly reupholstered seats. It didn't take too much to get it started...clean gas and a portable six-volt battery. From outward signs it appears the engine and carb may have been professionally rebuilt and the radiator was full of antifreeze and had no leaks. Tires will need replacing and you'll want to give the wooden-spoked wheels a close inspection.
Make no mistake, this is a project car that will require some work to get it ready for touring. The son can't tell you too much about what was done to it....for instance, were the babbitt thrust washers in the differential ever replaced? You'll have to find out.
The son, Joe, is asking $5000 or best offer. He seems motivated to sell so it could be a good deal for someone. Joe may be reached at [eight-ten] 404-821 Five. The car has a Michigan title. The car is located near Deckerville, Michigan in Michigan's "Thumb." That puts it on the east side of the lower peninsula about 45 miles north of the city of Port Huron.
You can contact me if you have any questions about the car's mechanical condition. Like I said, Joe knows little about Model T's. I can't load the video of it running so if you want to see that, email me.
