Original beautiful 1922 Model TT Huckster

Post by Larry LaPatka » Fri Nov 22, 2024 1:01 pm

Well it seem like wiping your butt with a wagon wheel… there’s just no end to it! With the passing of my wife and some health issues, now a new health issue has emerged and I will be forced, again, to reduce the Truck count. It is a beautiful, original 1922 Model TT Huckster that has been gone over from front to rear, top to bottom, cleaned, fixed and repaired everything needed, and detailed. Ruxtell rear, new tires, new battery, carb, wiring. Truck has starter. A great running and looking Truck.
If you are looking for a great opportunity to add to your collection this is it. Photos and price upon request.
Thank You MTFCA

With all the spam artists out there, it is easier to determine who might be one by putting no photos or pricing in the ad. Interested parties are welcome as stated in the ad to call, email or text and we can discuss in person. It is done in the forum previously and even forum users complain about spammers.
It is a crazy world that we have a wonderful forum that these type of folks use our forum in a manner not originally intended.
Thank You for your opinion.

No offense intended, but from a prospective buyer's point of view, the offsite contact arrangement introduces its own suspicions.

On an antique phonograph forum that I frequent, an ad was placed offering a rare and expensive phonograph. There was a lot of interest, until one forum member pointed out that the phonograph in question was actually his, and definitely NOT for sale. Had the photos only been shared privately, the buyer would have been scammed out of thousands of dollars.

A photograph "turns me on" without one I rarely call.

I realize not everyone has access to a photo editor, but one way to thwart scammers is to tag your photos. Same idea as putting a piece of paper in the photo with your name on it to show it is really yours.

I administer a FB Model T page and you wouldn't believe the number of times someone put an ad up for something and I was able to do a google image search and find the same photo on a totally different site under another name.

Good luck to you regardless...sorry for what you have had to deal with.

Tim,
Thanks for the great tip. That very well might discourage the scammers. I’m not quite sure how to go about that but I’ll inquire as to how to do it to some computer who are a great deal smarter than I. The car sold immediately and the party who purchased it was shocked as to the beautiful condition of such a original vehicle. As always, I so enjoy investing a ton of love into them and if they are sold, enjoying the new owners appreciating what all was done and the great results it brings. Thanks again for a good scammer blocking tip!!!
Merry Christmas and a wonderful and safe 2025!
Sincerely
Larry LaPatka
