FS 1909 Touring #6233

My dad and I restored this 1909 Touring between 1970 and 1977. He purchased the original chassis and body in the 1960s but I don’t have an exact date. I was still in my teens when we completed the build so I don’t have specifics or a full list of parts that were needed to complete the car. I know he shipped the wheels to someone in CA who re-wooded them. There are some reproduction parts on the car but I don’t have the full list. I do know the engine is a 1910 (S/N 18349) open valve. The carburetor is a Kingston L2. The most notable part of the engine is that it has a NOS counter-balanced crank shaft that he found at an old Ford dealership back in the late 1960s, still in its original wrapper. Unfortunately, I don’t have any of the paperwork from that but do remember him talking about it proudly back in the day.

This is a 3 pedal, 1 lever car.

The bodywork was completed and paint was applied in 1976. The paint is still in good shape but is not perfect. The driver’s side, rear fender was damaged and repaired about 25 years ago. The repair should be re-done as it was not done well. However, this car was “a driver, not a show car” as my dad would have said.

Dad passed in 2013 and the car has been in storage since then. I recently extracted it from storage and have cleaned the fuel system, checked electrical and cooling, and got it running again (very well, too). I’ve taken the car out for a ride in the neighborhood and it runs great. It’s definitely a head turner!

I have the car at my home in a climate-controlled building. It has always been stored indoors. It’ll be ready for a test drive until the snow flies here in MN. After that, I won’t let it outside for obvious reasons. Title is in my dad’s name. I will provide the appropriate paperwork for title transfer. Asking $25,000.

Transport will be your responsibility. I will not ship the car.

Please feel free to send me an email or PM if you have any questions. I can provide my phone number if you’d rather have a call.
