FS—-> Transmission Drums.

Post by Runabout » Tue Dec 13, 2022 2:59 pm

Just took this transmission apart I’ve had stored for many many years. Most parts needs cleaning up.
I have the brake drum (not cleaned up) yet. $200
Reverse drum, $200
Low speed drum. $200
Gear shaft. $55.
Driven Gear. $45.
Riveted Triple gear set/3.$100
Driven plate and clutch push ring. $50.
Clutch disc drum. $20.
Flywheel and magnets. $50.

Condition: I see no visible cracks on reverse and low speed drums only a couple of small nicks on the edges, the brake drum appears to be in very good shape also with minimal wear on the clutch lugs. In fact there’s not much wear on any of the bushings everything was tight without any sloppy movement.

If the rest of the trans is as good as the clutch disc lugs in the brake drum, it is a shame to break this lot up. Someone should jump in on the lot and keep it all together.

Allan: I told my brother n law the same thing the other day I probably shouldn’t take it apart because everything was smooth in it, but shipping is the deal killer on heavy bulky items right now.
It’s a pretty decent transmission all the triple gears look good no noticeable wear on the bushings and pins everything turned very quite flywheel has heavy surface rust, haven’t checked the magnets I’m positive they need charging.
If anyone is interested in it as a complete transmission that can be arranged too..!
Buy the whole thing and re-assemble it, I wouldn’t have had a problem at all using it as is if I needed it. I’ve definitely had a lot worse ones in some of the cars I’ve owned and drove.
If someone wants it as a whole you can finish the clean up, make me a fair offer come and get it. I’m open to offers on all as a complete setup or parts, I’ve got 3 of these, plus a few trans parts scattered about.
