WTB: Early style spark rod Lever, part #3530.

Post by Tony Delbianco » Sat Jan 07, 2023 4:31 pm

Does anyone have an early style spark rod Lever, part #3530, that they would sell? (See photo).
Original or reproduction would be fine.

I know the later style would work, but I'd like to try finding this one first.

I believe 3530E is the number used in a vendor's catalog selling a reproduction.
The original Ford Parts books use the number 3530.
Both parts are the same design.

Melba,
I looked in the vendor's catalog and see the discrepancy.
Ford used the same part number 3530 for both the angle and straight styles of levers because they are interchangeable.
The vendor uses 3530E for people who want the angle style used on earlier cars.
So yes, the picture shows a 3530E angle style, using the vendors part number.

Thanks for the email offer, but I already have the straight style part.

Tony,
All the vendors are out of the cast early ones. They don't know when they will be back in. I chased this rabbit about a year ago... If you're ok using one of the steel ones they can be easily bent.

Mike...thanks for the info...looks like it's my turn to chase the rabbit.
I have the newer style on my car now that I bent, it works fine, but am planning on doing some work on the column, so would like to try getting the correct parts together first.

Still looking!
