Steel Truss Head Rivets 3/16" x 1"

Post by Rodger Erickson » Fri Feb 10, 2023 10:57 am

Free: I still have a whole bunch of Truss Head (or mushroom head or brazier head) rivets, with a 3/16" x 1" shank, made of what I'm pretty sure is mild steel. Some surface rust is present but they should clean up pretty easily. I believe these would be well-suited for riveting wood slats to a steel frame, as you would on a pickup bed or depot hack body, as long as the wood isn't too thick. You pay shipping, of course. I believe I can fit approx 4 lbs (roughly 250 - 300 pcs.) into one USPS "Small Flat Rate" box.

Sorry if this is slightly off-topic but Model T Guys are the only folks that seem at all interested in stuff like this.

Thanks for looking

Not off topic. In fact, shorten them for 26-7 axle backing plate mounting.

I'd certainly appreciate a couple pounds. I use them on wood felloe wheels.

Rodger, if you ever get round head ones I'd like those for the rivets on Canadian style mufflers I make.

What's the price on these for 4 lbs? I understand shipping is additional. No problem there!
Thanks!
