WTB - Hot Air Pipe

Post by JR Ewing » Sat Dec 09, 2023 9:43 am

I’m looking for an original hot air pipe for my 1918 Roadster. I know there are a few different versions of this part over the years, so whichever one will fit my 1918 Roadster.

Thanks for the help!

This is from the 1918 Parts Manual. Dan Mari had some made. If he doesn't have any left I have one I ordered to help the build quantity & for whomever needed one at a later date when they were gone.

This is an alternative. Was an aftermarket accessory. The base design had an adjustable air intake - they also has an end to cause cirular air flow. Some owners removed this & that from them. I have a couple modified for sale ($10+shipping)

Thanks Frank,
I would like to find the earlier version for my car. If I can't, would one of the later versions work?

It appears so based on the parts list (1912-25).

There are similar styles as well. Based on the part that wraps the manifold I'd say its what dated as 19-23 . The difference too were because of the manifold clamps and carburetor rods

Thanks. I’ve heard the repops are pretty cheap. I’ll see if I can find a good original, either the ‘18 and earlier version or the ‘19-‘23. Thanks for your help.
