WTB 26/27 Roadster front seat base

Post by JonLevine » Mon Feb 17, 2025 8:36 am

I am looking to buy the front seat base assembly for a 26/27 Roadster. I know these parts were being manufactured by Howell’s Sheetmetal and sold by them and a few vendors but that appears to no longer the case. Either new old stock or original parts will work.

thanks!

Thank you for your reply. So you are confirming that the Roadster and the Touring share the same front seat base? I have an opportunity to buy an NOS Howells seat base for a Coupe and see if I can modify it to work. Any idea how different that would be? I also wonder about using the seat base for a 28 Model A Roadster as it looks very similar to the 26/27 Roadster base in pictures. Thoughts about that?

John,

Do you have an old one? I can reconstruct one from there if needed!

Hank

Thanks for your reply Hank, but unfortunately I do not. I’m building a 26 Roadster Pickup from parts and while I was fortunate to find a very solid body, the seat structure was missing from it.

Jon do you have all the heavy metal gauge support brackets on the sides and just require the sheet metal light weight piece?

Hank
