As far as I know these were never made in stainless.
Welding stainless to mild steel is not "normal" in car repair.
What is the story of these parts?

The corners are used stainless steel. I purchased steel corners from the vendors but they were inadequately small to replace the rust damage. I copied what I received but made taller. They definitely need rework from a body shop. Even though they were custom taller, they were still too small. I am using stainless steel corners and weld with "BLUE DEMON Stainless Steel Welding Wire, Mfr. Model ER308L-035-10. I purchased 10 reproduction patch panels in all but only 1 was formed correctly. 2 of the 9 panels I used and reworked while the remaining 7, I sold at a loss. Basically, I copied a less than perfect piece. If this is not within your skill set, then just pass it by.
