I read Original's comment too, but couldn't work out if he was referring to the recent post showing pliers with the Ford logo stamped back of the hinge pin.

The photo above posted by Kevin would definitely be the earliest Ford script style that I've seen, but to verify it is correct for a 1911 is doubtful.
