TT Hub caps

Post by Kevin Pharis » Mon Dec 12, 2022 10:06 pm

Here is a pair of TT wood wheel hubcaps. Both are in pretty decent shape, however one has a noticeable crack along its barrel. $50 plus shipping

Kevin, I have never seen plain ended, steel TT hubcaps. Are you sure these are TT caps? They look to have fine threads for the front wheels just like the cars. Were the plain steel ones fitted to US trucks?I have a back wheel one in my swap meet stuff. It is brass, has the usual Ford script on the end, and a coarser thread for the back wheels.

My dad says these were the caps that were on his ol TT when he got it. It was the truck that was on the roof of the Towe Auto Museum in Sacramento. It had 20” lock ring rim wood wheels

There you go. The hubcaps I have is Nicole (darn auto correct has Ms Kidman on its tiny mind) plated brass just like the cars, but it is larger and has a way coarser thread than the front wheel caps. Is this another Canadian departure from the norm?
