update. I have about half of the caps spoken for at this time. I need to catch up on the e-mails and orders. Im not as fast as I used to be. As soon as I get everyone in this first bunch taken care of, I will then list the other 1/2 of them. I just do not want to overload myself and make mistakes on the orders. Thanks ....

I have for sale several NOS Boyce Moto-Meter flip radiator caps. For years, I used to buy a couple of these each year from a vendor at the Chickasha pre-war swap meet and re-sell them on e-bay. I thought they were all gone as none of them had been there for several years. Last year at the swap meet his family was selling the last of his collection from his estate. There was a small box of them that they found buried in his stuff. I bought all of them. When these are gone there probably will not be any more of the NOS caps.

They always brought between 75.00, to as much as 150.00 on e-bay. Since I am tired of messing with e-bay I will offer them here for several months at 50.00 each plus 10.40 shipping. If they all do not sell here, I will then list them on e-bay.

One will fit in a small flat rate box for the 10.40 shipping price. If a person wants more than one, several of them will fit in a medium flat rate box for 17.05.

They are in NOS, lightly shelf worn condition. I would give them a 9 out of 10. They are nickel plated brass and the nickel is not peeling or flaking. Every one of them that I have had, has had very small stress cracks at the little tabs. It more than likely was a manufacturing defect. They are very small and hard to see but I wanted to mention them. They will not hurt the use of the item at all. I have shown a close up of an example of the cracks. The small repro moto-meters sold by the vendors fit the flip cap nicely. To install the flip cap assembly on the radiator neck, you remove the "bail" from the assembly, fit the assembly to the radiator neck, and then re-install the "bail". The "bail" holds the assembly in place. They come with two graphite/paper gaskets. I have used these on several of my cars. I install them with a thin layer of clear silicone sealant to the gaskets to help seal and holds them in place better.

I will show a few pictures of a cap with an old moto-meter from my collection, fit to a radiator neck. It is not for sale. I just show it for illustration purposes.

I also will show a copy of an old ad for the flip caps. It is also just for illustration and not included.

The 50.00 price is "each" and is for "ONE FLIP CAP ONLY" if you want more than one, they are also 50.00 each. I should not have to mention this, but it is amazing what a few people will try to get away with.

Please contact me at the info in the last photo. If you try the forum message system, I may not see your message.

I accept check, money order, or pay pal "friends and family".

Thanks,

Hi Allan. Thanks for the compliment and its position in your display. I also have some nice display items that have not made it to a car yet. But maybe someday they will. :D I envy the warm weather you are probably enjoying in Australia. We are expecting temps below zero Fahrenheit with wind chills of up to 20 below zero Fahrenheit in the next few days. regards and have fun and be safe ...

A wonderful cap if you have a radiator neck with bad internal threads .

Donnie,

Thanks for posting in your ad how these caps are to be installed on a radiator neck. I have had one (not NOS) for years and always thought I was missing another part of it. Now it makes sense to me how the bail holds it on.
