Wanted: 1926/1927 Wire Wheel Front Hub

Post by Speedster Jeff » Thu Jan 05, 2023 10:30 am

Hello,

I am in need of one (1) good front wire wheel hub for a 1926/1927 style wire wheel. One of the hubs I was rebuilding has a spun outer bearing and I would like to purchase a good used one that doesn't have this problem. After speaking with a few T folks, this seems to have been a problem.

Thank you,

Jeff Smith

Loctite 660 gap filling, hi strength, bearing retaining compound. This stuff will fix your problem.

There are safe and durable ways to repair what you have. If you are intent on purchasing another, please do not discard the old one. There will come a time in the hobby when someone will be glad to have it to repair.

Jeff - good advice from John and Scott. I used Loctite 660 on one of my 1926 wire wheel hubs. I also used a prick punch to raise the metal on the inside circumference of the hub - worked well.
