Have you checked McMaster Carr? That's where I got the brake linings for my 1912 Flanders. :)

What Mark said! Make sure you get the stuff with the brass wire woven in. They list for 1/4 thick, from 1" to 5" wide, sold by the foot. Call them and ask if they have what you need in stock and price. My catalog is a bit older so prices and stock numbers may have changed.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas! :shock:
