Stephen, how far away would you be willing to drive for one? I know of one that needs some work just south of Cincinnati here in Kentucky.

Re: WANTED: 1913-1918 Runabout
I have a 1914 roadster older restoration.
This last 6 months I have done the following,
1)New bearings rods and mains, timing gears, aluminum pistons, rings, adjustable lifters, external oil line, and transmission filter kit.
2) New aluminum hi compression head
3)new scandia linings.
4)new Texas T water pump
5)Electric starter
6)Tru-fire hi voltage ignition system
7)5 respoked and trued Budd quick change wire wheels powder coated
8)Rebuilt Ruxstel rear end
9)E and J restored all brass headlights, sidelights and tail light.
10) Restored correct speedometer, cable and drive.
11)new core installed in a very nice brass radiator
12) gas tank boiled out and coated.
The man I purchased this car from did a decent amateur restoration, most of the wood was replaced new upholstery and top with boot. This car is very presentable as is, if you are looking for a 100 point car, this is not it. This Ford is a great tour car with lots of power and it drives very well.
You can reach me at 2ho6-919-1949 anytime.
The reason I'm selling it is that after chasing a 1915 roadster with a Gallivan dual over head cam engine, for nearly 20 years. I don't need 2 roadsters I finally got to purchase it 2 weeks ago

Re: WANTED: 1913-1918 Runabout
Frontyboy, was the 1915 the one that Bert Lobberegt restored in the 1960s, that was later owned by Ron Kipling?
I own a 1936 Packard convertible sedan, a 1916 Model T coupelet, and a 2007 Mercedes Benz SL550 roadster.

Re: WANTED: 1913-1918 Runabout
Yes I have now owned this car twice now. I am not selling it this time.
I remember touring with Bert and the Gallivan in 1958 in my youth. Bert drove it from Seattle to Sacramento in 1 day for an HCCA National Tour. He had a letter from our then governor to the governor of California. Bert was always looking for publicity.
I purchased the best 10 or 11of the Fronty cars from Ron Kipling's estate a number of years back including the Gallivan. I sold the Gallivan to my oldest old car friend Jarvie Ericson. Of all those Fronty cars including the Riverside Special, I was sorriest about selling the Gallivan. Jarvie decided to sell it back to me.
My nephew and I are in the process of freshening the Gallivan after a long sleep. Hope to be driving it next week. Replacing fuel and pressure oil lines and cleaning the gas tank. Actually fired it up yesterday for just a minute, forgot how loud of bark it has!!!!
