FS EARLY REBUILT SHORT BLOCK

Post by Mark Chaffin » Sun Oct 08, 2023 12:22 pm

Nice rebuilt early short block (01/13). New valves, lifters, springs, keepers, camshaft and crank gear. Reground camshaft and rebabbited bearings. New babbit mains and rods. Crank looks to be .010 under. Pistons .040 over. Also includes a nice low head.
Price is $3,000. Crated and can be shipped. Mark Chaffin (951) 805-0928

A note of warning: that late valve cover will allow oil to leak out while running. I lost a rod that way once.

I hope the crankshaft was magnifluxed. I wouldn't use an early crank in any of my cars. That engine will make someone happy.

Looks like arranging shipping at a reasonable price and locating a freight company still in business is proving difficult to find. I can deliver to the Tulare Swap Meet in May if you or someone you know will be attending.
